Mr. Roy Chan S.K., CAIA, CFA, CLU, ChFC

Roy Chan is a charter holder of CFA, CAIA, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC). He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the National University of Singapore. Roy commenced his career 21 years ago in the financial sector as a Credit Analyst in Citibank. He then joined Schroders Investment Management as an Investment Analyst and progressed rapidly to become a Portfolio Manager managing funds for Corporations, Insurance, Pension Funds, High-Net-Worth Individuals, Unit Trusts and Property Trust from UK. He then moved on to join the private company of a well known Entrepreneur (whose family owns a multi-billion-dollar Financial Institution listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore) and managed his investment portfolio and a chain of premium hotels in Sydney, Australia. Driven by his years of investment and business experience, Roy then set up his own healthcare group in 1999. As the group CFO and with his fellow shareholders, including a global Private Equity Group, Roy has grown his group into a chain of leading molecular & diagnostic imaging centers in Singapore today, including the first 100% privately-owned, state-of-the-art Cyclotron facility located in Science Park II. He has also expanded his business into Shanghai in the last 4 years. Given his wide-ranging financial knowledge and proven business experience, Roy has also been invited to lecture in SIM University (Singapore) and Private Education Service Provider on Finance, Accounting, Insurance and Investment topics, including the prestigious courses on Certified Financial Planners (CFP).

Mr. Riley Hoe, CAIA, CFA, FRM

Riley is a charter holder of CFA, CAIA and Financial Risk Management (FRM). He is currently a Business Development Manager in a leading Asian Conglomerate with main business thrust in Real Estate. His current role includes Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity investments in both properties and businesses in Asia. Prior to his present role, he was involved in a REIT listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore, responsible for originating, negotiating and structuring of property acquisitions in China. Before joining his current company, Riley has covered Asian (ex-Japan) Equities as an Investment Analyst and Dealing Manager. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineer (Electrical) (Honours) degree and a Master of Science (Industrial and Systems Engineering) degree from the National University of Singapore. He has also earned an external degree in Bachelor of Science (Banking and Finance) from the University of London.

Mr. Desmond Lee, MSC (Fin)

Desmond has a Master in Finance and is currently pursuing the last level in both CFA and CAIA programmes. He is currently a Quantitative Investment Manager in a Financial Institution listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore with principal responsibilities in developing and managing Structured Funds, Indexation and Enhanced Indexation Strategies. His current work involves in-depth research into Deterministic and Stochastic Volatilities, and Quantitative Tactical Asset Allocation methodology. Prior to joining his current company, Desmond was an Equity Research Analyst in a buy-side firm covering sectors such as Consumer, Real Estate, and Financials. His job then involved Fundamental Analysis and bottom-up research on companies, intensive financial modeling, and in-depth valuations of Corporate Capital structure. Given his wide ranging investment experience, Desmond has been invited to lecture in Economics and Finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate diploma level with a listed Education Service Provider.
